THE AMBASSADOR
OF TROUTS BIO
Meet The Ambassador of Trouts, a spectacle of rhythm
and harmony, melody and noise. It is a melange of carefully prepared
sound layers and in the moment improvisation. It is a search for
the visual in sound, and the aural in light. The Ambassador
is Adrian Gormley who is a horn player, draws inspiration
from the likes of Charlie Parker, John Coletrane, and Steve
Lacy as well as Beth Custer . He leads a combo called The Adrian
Gormley Ensemble (.com) playing straight ahead jazz with many
local musicians in the bay area. Adrian has not
been only involved with jazz, however. He has played with Frenchy
(lounge), The Go Going Gone Girls (60's garage go go music),
The Goys (Klezmer), and The Hi Nobles. He has studied with
Beth Custer, Sheldon Brown, John Worley, Andrew Speight, Aaron
Bennett, and Daren Johnston.
